This system is controlled using a microprocessor-based device installed on the feed mixing equipment and can be connected via Bluetooth to the tractor driver’s mobile device — a smartphone or tablet.
“The engineer can therefore use his device to monitor everything that happens on the farm online: when a particular ingredient was added, where it is now, how much time was spent on the process, etc., — says Serhii Ryzhkov, Director of ProfeedTechnology. — If the feed is not mixed properly, the feed distributor will simply be blocked and will not be able to distribute the feed”.
According to experts, using this technology increases business efficiency by 5–15%, due to “imprecise” feeding errors, which are caused by the human factor.
The average payback period for the system on a 500-head livestock farm is 2-3 months, depending on the company’s level of technological development.
“With the Profeed product line, we are implementing the ideology of intelligent feeding on the farm, which involves maximum accuracy in all processes and minimises the human factor, — comments Maksym Shevchuk, the project’s investor and CEO of the AVA Group. — Our system will help investors to maximise their profits. Many Ukrainian companies have already assessed our solution”.
