At the beginning of March, in Bremen, Germany, Novonesis — a global leader in biological solutions for silage, officially distributed in Ukraine by AVA Group — organized the international event Silage Sealing Day, a strategic initiative for business partners aimed at achieving technical and commercial excellence. Novonesis focuses on developing innovations that improve animal health and productivity, enhance agricultural efficiency, and support environmental sustainability.
The event brought together 15 companies from more than 10 countries. The program included:
- Visits to Novonesis production facilities and partner farms.
- Technical sessions and knowledge exchange.
- Presentations by invited experts.
- Sharing experience and best practices in silage inoculants.
Key discussion topics included:
- Minimizing silage losses: airtight sealing and the impact of film quality on preserving dry matter.
- Dry matter losses in forage due to improper covering and material quality.
- The role of silage in beef production and the effect of inoculants on cattle productivity.
- Fundamentals of cattle nutrition and market prospects in Europe and worldwide.
- The silage microbiome: what it is and why it matters.
The program also included:
- A visit to JBS GmbH, a manufacturer of high-quality materials for covering and sealing forage.
- A visit to a modern high-performance dairy farm using SiloSolve products from Novonesis..
- A tour of Novonesis production facilities.
The event once again confirmed Novonesis’ status as a global leader in biological solutions. It was not just an event, but a real platform for knowledge exchange, innovation implementation, and partnership development.
