WEBINAR “WHY DOES THE FAT IN MILK FALL?”, PROFESSOR ZYGMUNT KOWALSKI

About the speaker: Professor Zygmunt Kowalski is the head of the Department of Animal Nutrition of the Faculty of Animal Breeding and Biology of the Krakow University of Agriculture. Author of more than 770 publications, including 112 original scientific works in well-known scientific journals (Journal of Dairy Science, LivestockProduction Science, AnimalFeed Science and Technology, Journal of Animal and FeedSciences). Professor Zygmunt Kowalski is an expert with extensive practical experience in cow feeding and calf rearing. The main scientific interests relate to protein and amino acid nutrition of dairy cows, use of fat in feeding cows, feed evaluation systems, prevention of metabolic disorders in cows, especially ketosis, calf rearing systems. Professor Kowalski is the co-author of the system for monitoring ketosis in dairy herds in Poland, based on the determination of the level of ketone bodies in milk by the FTIR method.
