The live weight of piglets weaned from the sow is one of the main production indicators on a pig farm. The higher it is, the faster the pigs reach the slaughter weight of 110 kg. However, the full growth and development of piglets become more difficult when a sow gives birth to more than 14 piglets.

The co-organizers of the event, the Ukrainian Stock Breeders Association (USBA), Kyiv International Contract Fair (KICF) and AVA Group, a leading Ukrainian feed producer, were able to ensure that the speakers had a high level of expertise and were also able to attract international speakers online, despite the quarantine restrictions.

On 16 February 2021, as part of the Agro Animal IT Forum and Agro Animal IT Show, Maksym Shevchuk, the CEO of AVA Group, presented a digital solution for managing a feeding process on a farm directly using a smartphone.

Profeed is an online mobile system that allows you to manage various aspects of livestock farming in an automated mode using a smartphone or tablet, from feed production and feeding to monitoring animal health, weight gain, and cost accounting.

This unique event was held from 18 to 20 February 2020, organised by the Ukrainian Stock Breeders Association in cooperation with the Kyiv International Contract Fair, with the support of the United States Agency for International Development USAID under the Agricultural Development Project, as well as the leading Ukrainian feed producer AVA Group within the framework of the 10th anniversary exhibition, AgroSpring 2020.
