Industry professionals from the swine sector took part in a specialized exhibition organized by The Ukrainian Farmer magazine. The event brought together companies and experts working in the fields of biosecurity and animal feeding management. The exhibition served as a platform for presenting modern technologies, discussing current challenges, and establishing professional connections.
During the event, analytical reviews, practical case studies, and innovative approaches used at various production facilities were showcased. Participants shared the results of their own research and developments aimed at improving industry efficiency.
The AVA team presented key technological solutions focused on the digitalization of production processes. Kostiantyn Makhno, Innovation Manager, introduced two modern tools for automated monitoring of pigs’ live weight:
- OptiScan. A portable technology combining a tablet and a handheld scanner, enabling animal weight measurement without the use of traditional weighing systems. The solution significantly reduces time costs and the need for physical labor.
- AI-based automatic weighing system. It is a complex that uses video cameras and artificial intelligence algorithms to continuously collect weight data in real time. The information is automatically transmitted to a server, ensuring timely analysis and improved planning accuracy.
The presented technologies highlight the relevance of digital tools in the development of the swine industry. They help optimize production costs, improve management accuracy, and ensure process stability at all stages of production.
